Richard Morgan Fliehr AKA Ric Flair was born on the 25th of February in the year 1949. He was born in Memphis, Tennessee but he spent most of his childhood era in Edina, Minnesota when his entire family moved from Tennessee. The young boy was adopted by a couple named DR. Richard Reid Fliehr and Kathleen Kinsmiller Fliehr.

When Ric was an amateur wrestler, he started training to become a professional full-time wrestler with Verne Gagne. In 1972, he made his professional wrestling debut at Rice Lake in Wisconsin. In 1973, He made his debut with International Wrestling Enterprise in Japan as a result of a relation to a working agreement of AWA and IWE.
