The 61-year-old Bollywood megastar, Sanjay Dutt has been diagnosed with stage 3 lung cancer this week. The actor was hospitalized after complaining about breathlessness and uneasiness in his chest recently.
He took to Twitter to share a note with his fans and friends,
“Hi friends, I’m taking a short break from work for some medical treatment. My family and friends are with me and I urge my well-wishers not to worry or unnecessarily speculate. With your love and well wishes, I will be back soon.” He tweeted.
Sanjay is said to leave for the US reportedly,
Sanjay Dutt who was last seen in the drama Panipat is said to leave for the US due to medical treatments, according to some media reports. The actor suffered low oxygen saturation levels and on his arrival to Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital on 29th July, he underwent a rapid antigen test for Covid-19 but tested negative.
He assured his fans on Twitter by writing,
“Just wanted to assure everyone that I am doing well. I’m currently under medical observation and my COVID-19 report is negative. With the help and care of the doctors, nurses, and staff at the Lilavati hospital, I should be home in a day or two. Thank you for all your well wishes and blessings.”

The Bollywood megastar is set to return on our screens through Mahesh Bhatt’s “Sadak 2” which is a sequel to the 1991 hit film “Sadak”. Sanjay will star alongside Alia Bhatt, Aditya Kapur and Pooja Bhatt for the film. The movie is set to be released on the 28th of August this year, digitally on Disney Plus Hotstar while it’s the trailer is out on Youtube.
