On June 26, 2020 afternoon, Dr. Disrespect was disconnected from twitch (a video live streaming service operates by Twitch Interactive, an auxiliary of Amazon). His account removed from the site, which gave way to the rumors that he was potentially banned from the Website. A few days earlier twitch said that it would issue lifetime suspensions for those streamers accused of misconduct and sexual harassment. Twitch still has not confirmed whether it has banned Dr. disrespect or not, or whether he could be temporarily or permanently banned by the service provider.
Herschel “Guy” Beahm IV, commonly known by his online alias or professional name Dr. Disrespect, is an American Internet celebrity and previously Twitch streamer. He was born on March 10, 1982. The first video of Beahm was posted on January 11, 2010, showing the gameplay of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. He was featured in multiple videos for the gaming channel Machinima, mostly playing Call of Duty.
Beahm has been a controversial figure
Although Beahm has been a controversial figure in his past, but is not listed or does not come into sight in those who were accused of harassment, misconduct, or other activities. Past troubles of dr. disrespect is known. He got away from streaming for some time when it was revealed that he had been disloyal to his wife. Then, he was temporarily banned from Twitch after he streamed from a public bathroom. In the year 2018, Beahm was banned after he was criticized for being racist while streaming.
The only statement that came from twitch was “as is our process, we take appropriate action when we have evidence…”. The tweet further says that our guidelines or terms of services apply to all streamers regardless of status or prominence in the community.
