AL PACINO: LIFESTYLE AND BIOGRAPHY:

Alfredo James Pacino famous as Al Pacino, 80, born on April 25, 1940, in New York City neighborhood, East Harlem, is a well renowned and very famous actor and a filmmaker. He is one of the most popular actors in the Hollywood industry, who has been in Hollywood for over five decades now and has seen many achievements in his entire career.

He received numerous awards and nominations including two Tony Awards, two Primetime Emmy Awards, an Academy Award, and AFI Life Achievement Award (honorary award), for his phenomenal work.

Al Pacino’s Family:

Pacino did not have a very pleasant childhood as his parents, Salvatore Pacino and Rose Gerardi got divorced when he was only two years old, so he never got to experience that feeling of a complete family as he was growing up. After the divorce, Pacino moved with his mother to the Bronx, where his maternal grandparents, Kate and James Gerardi lived. His father moved to Covina, California due to his work.

Later on, when he was 22, Al Pacino lost his mother in 1962, and right after that he lost his grandfather too. Both raised him, and he was very close to them, and losing them was the darkest and saddest truth of his life.

Pacino’s Schooling And Education:

Al Pacino was not a very bright student and had little to no interest in studying. He was always interested in becoming a basketball player and his team used to call him “The Actor.” He was studying in Herman Ridder Junior High School, but due to his lack of interest in studies and his poor performance, he dropped all of his courses except English.

Later on, he got selected in High School Of Performing Arts, which his mother was not very happy about and did not support his decision of studying acting. He didn’t care much and left his home as a sign of protest and continued studying in the same high school to pursue his career in acting. Pacino then joined HB Studio to study acting, and after devoting 4 years of his life over there, he finally got selected in the Actors Studio, after his first rejection when he was a teenager.

Before joining this field, Al Pacino was involved in doing drugs like Marijuana only when he was 13 and two of his very close friends died due to drug abuse. He always used to get in trouble when he was in school and was often involved in many fights. People frequently used to call him a troublemaker.

Popular roles:

Pacino was always passionate about acting, and he started working on it by joining HB Studio and the Actors Studio to learn acting from Charlie Laughton and Lee Strasberg. After learning the basics from there, Al Pacino luckily got his first role in the movie, Me, Natalie (1969), and later on after 2 years, he starred in The Panic In Needle Park (1971) in which he played the character of a heroin addict. This movie was the point in his life when he became a little popular among people.

After that, Pacino was seen in the blockbuster movie The Godfather (1972) and its sequels, The Godfather Part II and The Godfather Part III, and became popular worldwide after his role in this movie, for which he received an Oscar nomination. Later on, he appeared in a number of movies including Serpico (1973), Dog Day Afternoon (1975), …And Justice For All (1979), Scent of a Woman (1992),

Pacino’s Oscar Nominated And Other Popular Movies:

Pacino was very grateful to Martin and said in an interview that Bergman was the one who encouraged him to do these roles and if it wasn’t for him he wouldn’t have been able to do it, so Martin is one of a very few people behind his success.

Katy Perry opened up about her battle

The famous singer and songwriter Katy Perry got candid during a recent interview with Sunday times talking about her battle with depression. Katy Perry has been through a lot in her career and personal life in the past years. During the raw interview, the singer revealed that she had reached a point where she feared she would not live to see the year 2018.

As we all know, the 35-year-old singer is expecting her first child with fiancé Orlando Bloom, 43. The pregnant singer dished about how she had to treat her depression with medications.

Katy Perry said,

“It was if I had sprained my brain and needed crutches. I got really clinically depressed. I’d always been able to skirt the issue. I was on something my psychologist recommended and it changes the chemistry in your mind. Sometimes people need a pharmaceutical crutch.”

She further told the news outlet that, “You are never going to change someone as much as you want to change them. I had to make a choice {to change myself} after hitting rock bottom. I had no choice but to go on this emotional, spiritual, psychological journey and I probably wouldn’t live to see 2018…i tried medication and that was really intense.”

Depression through her Witness Tour:

It is important to talk about a serious issue like depression to remove the stigma around it and luckily some celebrities like Katy Perry have the guts to start talking about this monster.

During the interview with Sunday Times, she also added that she was very much in depression during her Witness Tour and it took a worse turn on her unstable mental health. She elaborated that the main reason behind it was the poor critical and commercial response of her fifth studio album.

“I’ve been through the journey, now I’m just enjoying the ride. I’m no longer a thirsty, desperate pop star that has to reach certain numbers in order to feel worthy. The overall definition of this record [her new album called Smile} is getting my smile back.” She was quoted by the news outlet.

She opens up about suicidal thoughts!

Katy Perry has been dealing with depression and its medications since she was 25. About 3 years ago, the “Roar” singer got candid talking about how she didn’t want to be the “Katy Perry” her fans and other people saw. She got really emotional during a marathon weekend live stream event as she opened up to Siri Singh from Vineland’s “The Therapist”

“I don’t even wanna look like Katy Perry anymore sometimes and that is a little bit why I cut my hair because I really wanna be my authentic self like one hundred percent but like I can’t b that… and I’m the ashamed cause of course Katy Perry is so strong”

It requires courage to show your fragile side but Katy Perry revealed that now she is just focused on “delivering the healthy child” and is no longer on medication.

The soon to be married couple has postponed the wedding the second time due to the Covid-19 pandemic as Orlando Bloom said during an interview to The Times UK,

“I’m not joking when I say that coronavirus might have a play in whether we put things on ice, because we don’t anyone to feel uncomfortable.”
