Selena Gomez made the delicious Korean BBQ Texas breakfast taco on her cooking show ‘Selena +Chef’ and wanted to show it to a ‘friend’. That friend turned out to be no other than our favorite pop-singer and her BFF Taylor Swift!
The 28-year-old ‘Fetish’ singer was proud of her latest concoction and wanted to show it to Taylor so she face-timed her from her kitchen during the show. Upon answering her phone, Taylor let out a big gasp at the sight of the delicious Korean dish.
Taylor is jealous of Selena for THIS reason:
In the latest episode of Selena+Chef, the singer was accompanied by professional Chef Roy Choi who taught her the delicious Korean cuisine. Selena very excitedly showed her BFF Taylor her newest dish and she said,
“Literally I’ve just been making all of this we’re making donuts next”.
Taylor, ecstatically told Selena, “If you don’t send me the recipe, we’re going to have words. I wanna be served that.”
Gushing about her best friend’s cooking show, Taylor added that, “I’m very jealous of your whole setup and the fact that you guys are cooking together is pretty great. I’m really envious.”The 30-year-old singer told Selena, Chef Roy Choi and his daughter, who was quite star-struck at the sight of the music industry sensation, Taylor on the phone and Selena’s adorable grandparents were also in the room.
Selena also jokingly mentioned that cooking is Taylor’s ‘love language’ as she is an avid baker and further revealed how this cooking show has brought the two of them even closer. The ‘Love will remember’ singer said, “She’s like my big cooking person, so it’s a big deal that I am learning how to cook. It’s good for our friendship.”
Taylor gushed how ‘proud’ she is of Selena:
Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift are the very definitions of best friends and the two are truly each other’s biggest supporters. It’s been more than a decade since the two megastars have been best-friend goals and been there for each other through ups and downs and countless other things. ‘She has shown up for me in ways that I would have never expected’ Selena said once talking about how Taylor’s been there for her through thick n thin. And she is the proud best friend that everyone needs.
During Taylor Swift’s virtual appearance on Selena’s cooking show, the singer also gushed about how proud she is of Selena by saying,
“Oh, dude, I’m so proud of you. Do you know how long I’ve been waiting for you to become obsessed with cooking?” Taylor jokingly said which had Selena and her grandparents who were also present there at that time, laughing.
The two sweetly told each other ‘I love you’ before hanging up.
Selena Gomez’s cooking show for HBO MAX:
The 28-year-old actress and singer, Selena has been utilizing her time during social distancing by mastering her skills in the kitchen. She filmed a very lighthearted cooking show for HBO Max and her fans that got a rare glimpse of her new house. The all-new -a cooking show with HBO Max, Selena+Chef takes place in her home kitchen as she video chats with professional chefs who walk her through different fancy recipes.
The ‘Lose you to love me’ singer told in a statement how she wanted to put smiles on people’s face by saying,
“I don’t do anything I don’t want to, of course, but life gives us so many different challenges, and I just really thought this would be something light-hearted because I was getting definitely down. I know that there is a lot going on- but this was my opportunity to make something that could make people smile.”
The musician also gushed about how the show will give her viewers a glimpse of her never-before-seen new house.
“I have a very difficult time doing that because as much I enjoy my position, I just definitely try to keep more of a private life but this was different for me,” Selena told. “I was actually really excited because I just moved into my home, and that’s my new kitchen in the show, so basically I haven’t officially moved in yet.”
Selena talked about the ‘odd’ filming process of the show:
Each episode stars a different master chef who joins the famous singer remotely to tackle a variety of delicious cuisines. The Wizards of Waverly Place actress revealed the details regarding how strange the process of shooting the series was. Selena has been quarantining with her family and friends during the past couple of months.
Crew members who got regularly tested for the novel virus rigged some cameras in the singer’s living room and massive kitchen for the shooting of the cooking show. Selena talked about it while motioning to her ceiling that,
“There was no one in the house but here are cameras everywhere. That’s so crazy it comes out so well.” Selena said. “It comes out like a normal cooking show but also very odd because everyone is outside everywhere. You need to cook every day. The more you cook, the better you are going to get.”
