European football’s controlling body presented strict strategies as “return to play” for the Champion’s League and Europa League last month to ensure the two tournaments could be completed safe and sound.
The 31-page document issued from the controlling body of Champion’s League outlines definite health and safety measures including regular testing, dedicated zones for players, staff and media within the stadiums, and the wearing of face masks.
The advice on the shirt swapping was also included in the protocols mentioned as “Players are recommended to refrain from swapping their shirts”.
There is no straightforward punishment mentioned against the violation of the swapping-shirt rule in the document but it does say that “Non-compliance with the obligations set out in the UEFA protocol may result in disciplinary measures in accordance with the UEFA Disciplinary Regulations”.
But the PSG supporters fear the put up of a ban on Neymar in the final!
As the penalty of flouting the rules is not stated clearly in the document but there is a thing that fears the PSG supporters. PSG supporters dread those disciplinary measures could include a ban on the appearance of Neymar in the Sunday’s showpiece final against either Bayern Munich or Lyon.
The other option being assumed for Neymar is that he may be forced to quarantine himself for about 14 days to shield against the risk of possible infection, which again would see him to be out of Sunday’s game.
That thing has definitively got fans of French champions concerned as they observed the prospect of their side being without their talismanic forward for one of the mega matches of the Club’s history.
