Naseeruddin Shah, a veteran actor, took a dig at Kangana Ranaut recently when he was sharing his opinion in an “outsiders’ vs. insiders” debate.

After the tragic demise of Sushant Singh Rajput, the discussions about nepotism, favoritism, and bullying in Bollywood sparked. Many actors chose to stay silent on the matter, but some are very much vocal about this. One such name is Kangana Ranaut who is quite vocal not only about this but also of Sushant Singh Rajput’s case since the investigation about the suicide started.

In a recent interview with a Television news channel, Naseeruddin Shah stated that he did not know the actor but was very hurt over the Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. He felt that the actor would have a promising future ahead if he was alive. Talking about the politics and media coverage surrounding the case, he didn’t mention her name but stated that everyone who is angry and anguished about the film industry has been citing their frustration out on the press. Keep those frustrated complaints to yourself, no one is interested.

He further said;

“No one is actually interested in the opinions of a ‘half-educated starlet’, who took it all upon herself to take justice for the late actor’s death. If there is justice that needs to be done, then we should have a belief in the process of the law. And if it is none of our business, we should not be concerned about that.”

When he was asked about growing debate about the nepotism in Bollywood, he said;

“I don’t understand what this insider-outsider debate is going on. I mean it’s a lot of rubbish, and we should have put an end to this discussion now. Why would I not, who led a successful and joyful life as an actor, would encourage my children to go into the same profession? Would not an industrialist, or a lawyer or doctor do it the same? Anybody would have done it. Do you mean to say that Nusrat  Fateh Ali Khan’s descendants should have not become singers? Nepotism can take you to a certain level after it’s a survival game for only those who possess the talent.”

Actress Kangana Ranaut; who has been demanding a CBI investigation to follow up the case. She has been openly talking about nepotism and movie mafia in Bollywood and also taken big names while talking about the favoritism many times. She responded and reacted against the remarks of Naseeruddin Shah about her.

Kangana’s team, which goes by the name Team Kangana Ranaut, tweeted on Tuesday afternoon, which stated;

“Thank you, Naseer Ji; you consider all my awards and achievements on the scale of nepotism and favoritism which none of my fellows have. I am now used to this, but would you say this to me if I were Parkash Padukone or Anil Kapoor’s daughter?”

She further shared an old conversation with the veteran actor and said;

“Naseer Ji is no doubt an extraordinary artist, even abuses from him would be like a God’s blessing. I would rather watch the amazing conversation we had about the cinema and our art last year and there you have told me how much you appreciate me.”

This came into the light after the actress had released a two-minute video in which she was talking highly about the late actor (Sushant Singh Rajput) and was accusing and criticizing a certain section of the film industry that was not very vocal about the star’s talent. It is not the first time when the actress is in headlines about her views and opinion.
